The book is easily understandable from a reading perspective, however, the author could have gone a step further to add some stock charts and/or options trading grids to give the reader of clear visual of many of the things he describes. There a several instances near the end of the book where the author is discussing specific option trading strategies which without a visual or possibly how you would select and options trade position on a trading platform, describing the strategy does very little for the reader but familiarize them with related terminology.I've been studying the basics of options trading just for two months now and knew most of what was already mentioned in the book. If you know absolutely nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, this book my be a good way to start learning about options trading. However, I would suggest that you could learn just as much on the web and even more by watching YouTube vids on the subject. There are many Videos on this subject that go into the same, and even deeper details, that have great visuals that coincide with how to trade these options. I'm giving the overall rating three stars since the reader, who would be totally new to options, needs to have clear visuals on trading strategies when they would be looking at them on a trading platform.
This is one of those Amazon books that someone writes in a week and hopes to cash in on. The “book†is written in large print, is very superficial and lacks any meaningful detail. You will not be any smarter or ready to trade options after you read this book. The description of the book says it has “strategies and tactics for investing in stock, binary, furtures, and ETF optionsâ€. I cannot identify any strategies or tactics in this book. It contains statements like “when options are overvalued, they happen to be above the theoretical priceâ€. And, under “Common mistakes to avoid†reads “One of the most difficult ways of making money is to trade out of the money call optionsâ€. That’s it, that’s the mistake to avoid. It may as well say “don’t buy high and sell lowâ€. The book is full of vernacular, circular statements, incomplete concepts and statements of the obvious. Don’t waste your time or money on this book. You will get more complete and relevant information for free on the internet.
I spend about $4000 on a 3 day course in Stock Trading a while back.Got some of the basic ideas, but was not confident enough to jump in and trade as a day-trader.Now, I am revisiting the trading scene again and came across this book.I like the author's honesty and the practical, no BS approach that he has projected in this book.The important points that differentiate the author's approach are:Using a sophisticated scanner to identify stocks to work with.Emphasis on perfecting a rigorous routine for day-trading.In my opinion, this book provides a better insight into the world of day-trading than an expensive course, except for the hands-on exercises.**Highly recommended**
This book is very interesting and usefull for begginers in trading. A book gave a lot of skill in investing. The chapters are neatly structured and each topic is clearly explained with a lot of tips. I will recommend for all my friends who want to start trading. It's very interesting and easy to read.
